Maker Moments: Creating with Fabric and Wool

Happy Monday!

This past week Debi and I attended the International Quilt Show and showcased our new Platinum™ Machine and new Contour™ Steel Rule Dies which won’t be releasing until next month.

One of our favorite things about the new machine and dies is its ability to cut through fabric. Did you know the Contour dies can through eight pieces of cotton fabric at one time?! They cut thick wool like butter which makes them perfect for quilters.

In this project from the Quilt Show, Debi created a pillow using our Simply Succulent Contour die and wool. Apply the die to wool felt to make as many “flowers” as desired. Sew die cut pieces onto a pillow front. Attach a button to each center. Finish sewing the entire pillow and stuff with batting. Another simple creation completed in just an hour or two!

P.S. In case you missed the announcement… the winners of last Monday’s fall tablescape giveaway were…Connie Turner, Janet Thompson Sisk, Carol Hintermeier and Jamie Papantonakis.
