100 Percent Best Dad Card Tutorial

Hello everyone!

Linda here to share a masculine card in time for Father’s Day (for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere). Here in Australia, we have Father’s Day on the first Sunday in September and I will be well prepared for that event! LOL! I am using some of the new Die D-Lites™ which are perfect for the new and soon to be released Spellbinders® Prizm™ Die Cutting & Embossing Machine. I am sharing a sneak peek further
down this post.

Spellbinders Products:
S2-212 Hipster 1
S2-213 Hipster 2
S4-168 Large Labels
SEL-001 Maze Em-bossing Fold’er
SCP-013 Whirl White Paper
PL-001 Platinum™ Die Cutting and Embossing Machine – 8.5″ Platform

Other: Liquid Glue; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® (E-Z Runner® Refillable Dispenser and 3D Foam Squares); Imagine Crafts®/Tsukineko® (Memento™ Ink – Summer Sky and Sponge Daubers); Walnut Stain Ink; Patterned Paper; Sentiment Stickers; Corrugated
Cardboard; Kraft and Black Cardstock; Button

1. Using Kraft cardstock, cut/emboss from S2-212 Hipster 1 coffee, coffee sleeve and Banner. Set aside the hexagon tag for another project (changed my mind – lol!).

2. Cut/emboss S2-213 Hipster 2 the mustache with black cardstock, using PL-001 Platinum™ Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

3. Sponge the inside of the cup with brown ink before removing the Die, followed by the banner and sleeve using Summer Sky ink.

4. Cut/emboss two (2) S2-213 Hipster 2 sentiments using back cardstock. Cut the letters to form the word Dad

5. Adhere the sleeve to the cup, followed by the mustache.

6. Cut/emboss one (1) S4-168 Large Labels using SCP-013 Whirl White Paper cardstock.

7. Use the Die as a Stencil, sponging the inside of the Die using Summer Sky and a Sponge Dauber.

8. Adhere the coffee cup to the centre of the S4-168 Large Labels.

9. Adhere the Banner and sticker sentiments above the coffee cup and the sentiment below.

10. Pop up into 4 x 5.5″ piece of embossed patterned paper (embossed with SEL-001 Maze Em-bossing Fold’er) using foam tape.

11. Glue torn corrugated card to the lower portion of the patterned paper, followed by twine and a button.

12. Adhere to slightly larger pre-cut card base using double sided tape.
