Maker Moments: Pie In The Sky
Well, Thanksgiving is just around the corner, way closer than you figure, at least I find it that way. Never enough time to do all that I dream up, that’s for sure. Anyway, when do you start planning for your meal? Are you a last minute person or very disciplined and organized? If you are anything like me, I’m not so hip into the cooking (very undisciplined here and so I buy it and bring it in, except for the desserts :)) but I am ALL on board for the decorating. Always. So here is a quick little pie topper for your dessert table but obviously you can use it for cupcakes or even a single slice of pie. If you get started today, it will be one more check off your “to-do” list and one less thing to decorate. The supplies are minimal. In fact, your kids or grandkids could probably help you with this one!
Supplies:
Platinum, Platinum 6 or Prizm Machine: PL-001, PE-100, PZ-001
Tribe Vibe Stamp and Die Set from Wild and Free Collection-SDS-032
Cardstock of Your Choice
Glittered Paper
Watercolors, Inks, Colored Pencils-Your Choice
Toothpick
Hot Glue gun.
Die-cut and emboss Tepee, flower, banner, leaves and feather from cardstock/glittered paper of your choice. Embellish as desired. Adhere toothpick to backside of Tepee. Insert Tepee into dessert.
*Tip: You can use the little feather and create a place card.
Hopefully I have helped you get started. Would love to hear what you’re going to be doing for Thanksgiving.
So glad you stopped by.
XO,
Debi
