Have you noticed that indigo blue has been making quite a splash these days? I love the richness of the color and, when paired with gold, it definitely makes a statement. It has a casual appeal but a classic look. So today I thought I would take this latest trend and make a home decor piece. So let’s get started by collecting the supplies.
You will need the following products:
Watercolor paint-Indigo Blue
Waterbrush for Watercoloring
Mixed Media Paper-140lb. weight (6″ x 8″)
Frame of your Choice-I picked an all glass frame trimmed in gold.
Die-cut all pieces from mixed media paper and emboss. Die-cut sentiment from mixed media paper and gold poster board.
Use watercolor brush to add color to the mixed media paper shapes.
Adhere cacti to another sheet of mixed media paper. Layer sentiment pieces together. Adhere to paper. Adhere paper to glass of frame.
That was quick and easy. I think I’m going to make a few of these for gifts. What about you? Did you know that Spellbinders’ blog has an area for showcasing YOUR projects? Check it out here!
Thanks for joining me here today. Hope you will come back tomorrow as I showcase my new line, Wild and Free.
