Use the Arizona Trail Stamp Set for Cute Cactus Cards!
Take a walk along the Arizona Trail! Here at the Journey Station in Phoenix we definitely see our fair share of cacti. We are sharing the view with you as we create to adorable projects with our new Arizona Trail Stamp Set.
Lookin Sharp
Create your desert path for this Lookin Sharp card. Your Corrugated Stock over your life-like cacti creates a rough hiking trail look. As those of us in Phoenix know, no cactus is alike. They each vary in height, color and shape. Create this reality by alternating cardstock colors for your Arizona Trail cactus stamps and adhering each at different levels. You may even choose to pop two up to make them closer to the trail with other others flat as if they are further behind.
Your Catalina Splash Cardstock background completes your scene with the dark night sky feel. Add a few stars with a dash of Electric Lime Silk.

While the last card was a bit more of a dimensional life-like scene, you could also go for more of the desert mirage scene.
First, stamp your images from the Arizona Trail Stamp Set. Use the grids on your Clear Block to help align them as you stamp them right next to and slightly on top of each other. After stamping, play with your Journey Color Splash watercolor pencils. Just like the last card, you can create the blue sky and the dirt path. However, this time the watercolor look gives it that mirage effect.
Add a bit of Journey Glaze to your images. Then finish with your Southwestern sentiment.
