How to Combine PanPastels & Sparkle Silk
Have you played with PanPastels on your handmade cards and tags yet? If you’re new to PanPastels, watch an introductory video to this amazing coloring medium here.
Now, let’s check out another technique using PanPastels, as Kim Kesti demonstrates a fun project combining PanPastels with Sparkle Silk in the Product Spotlight video below.
Let’s recap:
Color in your stamped images with your favorite PanPastel color! Note: The Catalina Splash PanPastel used in the video is part of the Mother Nature PanPastels palette (not sold separately).
If you’ve ever hoped for Sparkle Silk in different colors, your wish has been granted. Kim shows us how to use PanPastels to do just that. First, grab a Journey Sofft Tool. Using just the tool without the sponge, scrape a bit of your PanPastel color onto a Clear Block. Then carefully pour a bit of Sparkle Silk on the block as well. Don’t use the silk brush to dispense the silk; otherwise you will contaminate the brush.
Your PanPastel will blend and dissolve right into your silk for a perfect sparkly color. Grab a Journey Blending Brush to pick up your color and flick it onto your project.
