Holiday Tunnel Cards
Hello Friends, it’s Elena here today sharing 3 tunnel cards I made using Spellbinders Holiday collection.
I love this collection designed by Sharyn Sowell. For my cards I chose S5-355 Tree Picking die and die-cut it using my Platinum 6” machine out of metal pearlscent cardstock. For my first card I used Emerald cardstock.
I also wanted to created a feeling of snow on my card, so I mixed gesso and soft mat gel to create paste for the tree. I applied this paste using my palette knife, and thought it would be great to add it to the other parts of the die cut, too.
To finish this card I added “hohoho” and 25 die cuts from S2-266 Ho Ho Ho die set.
I used the same technique with snow on my second card. I only changed the color to red for my die cut, also added sequins and snow paste:
And since the size of my card is slightly larger, it’s about 7×5,5”, it was a good idea to combine it with a larger quote die – S4–774 Merry Christmas. I used the same color of the cardstock and added a sequin on the “I” dot.
If you don’t like the messy snow look you can skip the snow paste and use just the die on its own like I have on my last example here:
I’ve only added glittered trim to my 3rd card to dress it up.
I made a tunnel for all my 3 cards, I cut out 3 pieces of paper to 7×5.5”, cut out the frame from the 1 st piece , I made a wider border for my second piece and kept the 3rd piece with no changes as it was the background for the die cut. I foam mounted each piece layer and did the same for the die cut. I think this dimensional effect looks great!

I just love your coordination of the frames. Where did you get the paper you used? Beautiful work! Pam
