Adorable Holiday Character Gift Bags in under 10 Minutes
At holiday time, let’s be real; I always forget someone!!! It’s inevitable, but a fix is on the way! Hi, I’m I’m Becca Feeken with Amazing Paper Grace and as I march toward my final Christmas arrangements, I’m reaching for a familiar die to create Adorable Holiday Character Gift Bags to have at the door, at the ready, for the special people that somehow I missed in my earlier deliveries. It’s all in the cool cutting and if you follow my tutorial below, then I’m going to show you how!
Besides being grateful that these cuties take less than 10 minutes — they can be made in batches, assembly is kid friendly and they’re all kinds of fun!
I reached for Spellbinders S5-259 Favorably Simple Gift Box because it is a standard in my paper crafting toolbox. As a ‘blank canvas’ kind of die, it will take your gift from elegant to rustic to shabby to fun. My holly leaves were crafted from Spellbinders S3-250 Angled Flower Fold n Go and Santas Belt is Spellbinders S5-308 Hemstitch Rectangles. It was fun to dream of which die could be used for which embellishment!
Easy and fun are a requisite for a happy holiday, so typically at Christmas time I create a gift in advance and fill it with treats or cookies. It always happens that someone gives me a gift unexpectedly, and I love to have something ready to hand back. Even more, sometimes someone I’ve never met is gracious with a favor or service and I love to have a token of my thanks that will bring a heart-tugging smile.
To see how I dolled up the bag for Holiday Treats, take a peek at the layouts below. There I show you both what to cut and how to cut to get both the snowman and the Santa Claus Suit.

Hi Becca!
This is so cute! Do you have a tutorial on how to make the Santa and Snowman? I am a visual learner and I’m having trouble putting together the Santa. For the Santa suit, did you cut one or two white pieces? In your picture it looks like one piece but in the completed Santa picture it looks like two because the white part looks different…. Help!! Thank you.
