Lavender & Poppies Inspiration with Elena. Take 2: Purple and Black!
Hi dear friends! Elena Salo is here again! And today I’d like to continue the theme, which I started in my previous post and combine black cardstock with Lavender dies from the Lavender and Poppies Collection.
To make the wreath I used the small flower die from Eau De Lavender Label. I die cut 9 flowers usind watercolor cardstock, colored them with distress markers and placed them on the card, where I’ve already white heat embossed a Thinking Of You sentiment and adhered a green die cut wreath. To finish this card I added some liquid clear drops in different sizes. You can see a close up below:
Oh, I love this retro bike die cut! It looks fantastic even without any additional embellishments. I die cut 2 bikes out of black and adhered them together for extra dimension. Two baskets were die-cut out of watercolor cardstock and colored with distress markers.
I also added a simple white die cut sentiment that reads Thanks.
To create the last card, I used 2 sets of dies: Lavender Planter and Eau De Lavende Label. I find the labels from the second set very beautiful and delicate. They add so much charm and elegance to the card! I die-cut both out of black cardstock and adhered onto a black card base. To make my sentiment pop I white heat embossed it, I went with a Happy Birthday To You message, although this card design can be used for multiple occasions.
Here’s a close up of this card:
