FSJ's New Magical Unicorn Stamp Set

For the past couple of weeks we’ve had you nominate and vote on a name for our new Magical Unicorn. Today, we’ll share its official name. As we do so of course, we’ll give you inspiration for this favorite stamp set.

During our FSJ Presents: Bloom This Way virtual event, we had a blast playing with this new stamp.

We brought in Nicole Westervelt’s (FSJ’s General Manager) daughter to help us bring this unicorn to life on cards, treat boxes, double pocket dies and even a card carrier. You can color in its mane and tail with your favorite coloring mediums.

After it officially launched January 1^st, we decided this unicorn definitely needed a name. We asked you all to nominate a name by commenting a specific Facebook post. We heard all sorts of ideas from Mystic and Starlight to Alex and Penelope.

Then at the office, we choose our top 5 favorites from your nominations. Last week you voted on the following top 5 names:

This Magical Birthday Card is a bit more than meets the eye. It has a special surprise inside! But first, let’s create the front of the card.

It is a magical birthday after all, so let’s create a whimsical background. Emboss a Pool Play Cardstock panel with the I Heart Embossing Folder, but then give it subtle touch of Whip Cream Ink over the hearts for a dreamy look.

Continue the dreamy effect with a Cloud Dreams die cut for your sentiment. Color the edges of your cloud with …. Since Liquid Color has been quite a theme here on the blog we continue the theme using … Bubble Gum Liquid Color using a Dauber Dowel to transfer the color. This light accent is subtle but the perfect magical touch for your theme.

Now of course, pop up that unicorn. Mix Bubble Gum Liquid Color with a drop of water and a few drops of Bubble Gum Silk on a Clear Block. We counted the votes … go ahead and call it by its official name: Inkabelle

With the front of your card complete, let’s open it up!

The dream continues as Inkabelle floats among the clouds on the inside of your card.

Add a few Cloud Dreams die cuts and the rainbow stamp. Color them in with Bubble Gum Liquid Color.

Connect your clouds with a Spiral Lines Die! This die allows you to let out your inner child. Create tons of fun moving projects with this awesome die set.

Pop up Inkabelle onto the spiral. You can even give her a bit of sparkle. She is in a magical dream world after all.
