Easter Blessings
Yesterday, we created spring projects with a few of the accent images from the Easter Blessings Stamp Set. Today, pull out Easter Blessings again to create two different styles of ‘He is Risen’ Cards.
Simple Background
Keep it simple! With a Whip Cream Cardstock background, you stamped images will stay bold focal points.
Grab the Easter Blessings Stamp Set. Stamp the cross in your favorite True Color Fusion Ink and then decorate it. Give it elegance with surrounding greenery and a bloom in the center.
Pop up the ‘He is Risen’ sentiment from the Home Anchors Stamp Set right on top. Let your sentiment shout out on its own in a deeper ink color than the cross. You can even give it a bit of Journey Glaze.
Complete the project with a dash of Journey Silver. This card is simple yet stunning and elegant.

Journey Media Background
Add more color to your background! It’s time to get a little bit messier than our last card. Yes, we use the Journey Gel Press and Brayer, but with a different twist.
First, emboss a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock with our new Diamond Netting Embossing Folder. Place this to the side as you grab the Journey Gel Press.
Grab three of your favorite Acrylic Paints. We used Cool Pool, Pineapple Smoothie and Limeade Splash for a Spring look. Add your paint to the Gel Press and mix it with your Brayer. Your Brayer should pick up the paint. Now, usually we tell you to press your cardstock onto the Gel Press to pick up the mixture. Not this time. This time, transfer the paint onto your cardstock with your Brayer. The difference – the Brayer will transfer a lighter coat of the paint.
Now, with a beautiful background, stamp and pop up your Easter Blessings cross. We placed the cross and greenery on a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock this way your beautiful design will still surround it, but the white space will keep your cross as a focal point.

This stamp set is awesome for two reasons. The color possibilities are endless; go soft, or go strong. The other reason is shown here. You can make your card simple, or make it detailed with the additional leaves. It’s a winner either way.
