Flower Garden Inspiration | Spring Garden Card with Mayline
Hello everyone! This is Mayline and I am honored to be guest blogging here on the Spellbinders blog! Today I have a spring themed card to share with you using the Flower Garden collection by Sharyn Sowell. Today’s card is filled with the vibrant colors of a season in bloom.
For my card today I created a panel 4 7/8″ wide and 6 3/4″ tall with pale pink cardstock. And then I cut out two of the Floral Gatefold Dies using a same pale pink paper. After that I taped them to each end of the panel.
To create a card, I started by die cutting the Card Creator Floral Panel Card dies using heavyweight white cardstock. And then I created an A2 sized card base. To adhere the pieces together, I used a glossy accents.
Next I have created three watercolor panels green, orange/pink, and blue tones. I die cut using the Dimensional Floral Panel dies to cut leaves and flowers from the green and orange/pink tone watercolour panel and also using the Card Creator Floral Panel Card dies to cut another shape of leaves from the blue watercolour panel.
Also I used the Rose Bird Topiary dies to cut a word ‘love’. And then I adhered them on the panel. As you see from photo above. Lastly I applied glitter pen on the flowers, leaves and word ‘love’
For the inside of the card, I started by die cutting the Floral Photo Frame dies using heavyweight white cardstock. And I then created blue/purple watercolor panel using watercolor paper. Next I cut the blue/purple watercolor panel using Floral Photo Frame dies. This die is prefect to insert photo or gift card. To finish this card, I attached the photo frame panel to the card base.
