Die D-Lites Inspiration | Floral Thinking Of You Card with Brenda

Hello everyone!! This is Brenda Noelke from My PaperCut Creations. I am happy to be here for my second guest post for Spellbinders!! I will be using the fabulous February Die D-Lites Release for all of my projects. You can find my first project here.

Today, I have combined three sets for a spring-inspired card…

I began by die-cutting the grass & fence with Die D-Lites Picket Fence Dies from white cardstock. I also die-cut the flowers with Die D-Lites Sketched Blooms 2 Dies, as well as one flower with the Die D-Lites Sketched Blooms Dies from Bristol smooth paper.

I used a couple of gray Copic markers to add a little shading to the fence. I watercolored the flowers and grass with watercolor markers, blended the markers with a water brush, then set them aside to dry. Distress Oxide Inks were blended onto smooth paper, using a stencil to create the cloud background. The panel was trimmed slightly, mounted on a piece of blue cardstock, then adhered to the card base.

By now, my die-cuts have dried and it is time to place those. The flowers were adhered directly to the card panel with liquid adhesive. I chose to in-lay a few of the inside pieces of the flowers, which were water colored in a contrasting color.

The fence was placed toward the bottom of the panel with dimensional adhesive, for extra dimension. The grass die-cut was then adhered to the fence. I also chose to pop up the centers of the flowers with foam adhesive. The “Thinking of You” sentiment was stamped with blue ink. A shimmer pen adds some sparkle to the center of the flowers. Lastly, a few rhinestones add a little bling, while also framing the sentiment.
