Life Begins After Coffee Handmade Card Idea

Life begins after coffee, am I right?  For most of us, that cup of magic beans kicks us into gear and we can begin the day.  What a fun way to send a greeting to a loved one highlighting a favorite (and magic!) beverage.  Let’s look at how you can put together this lovely card and get it into your mailbox asap!

We’ll start with some of our favorite supplies.  (We were in such a hurry, we couldn’t even get organized — we had to just gather up those goodies quick so we could get to creating!)  The Coffee Helps Stamp Set and Dies are obviously the stars of this card.  But, we couldn’t do it without the inks, cardstock, adhesive and more!

Let’s start by stamping that adorable cup on Whip Cream Cardstock (isn’t it just the perfect base for everything?!)  You can use whatever color palette feels right for you, but we chose Kiwi Slice, Beach Ball and Candy Apple True Color Fusion Inks to stamp our coffee cups.  Do you love this color combo like we do?

Stamp each color once on the Whip Cream Cardstock.

Once you are finished with your stamping, we’ll work on cutting out the stamps, perfectly, with our Coffee Helps Dies and our Journey Platinum Machine. Once everything is stamped and cut, we can get to assembling!  This is so much fun, isn’t it?

Tiny, punched flowers add not only texture and interest, but make this particular card a little mroe feminine.  Creating a card for a man?  Leave off the flowers!  Maybe try stars, instead.  Top off the flower centers with our Fashion Silver – it adds just the right amount of bling!

More flowers always make the card feel complete, but what about adding Black Licorice Journey Thread in a bow?  You can layer it behind one of your punched flowers to create dimension and make the card feel complete.

Now, you don’t want to forget to add some sort of fun sentiment (though, depending on the design of your card, you don’t always have to! You should always do what is best for you and your project.) and we love how this one is whimsical and is sure to make any coffee lover smile.
