Flower Garden Inspiration | Flower Garden with Ruby
Hi, crafty friends! This is Rubeena from A Rare Ruby, and I’m so excited to be a guest on the Spellbinders Blog today. This post is part of a series featuring the Flower Garden Collection by Sharyn Sowell!
The Flower Garden Collection is a beautiful collection of botanical elements and perfect for cardmaking if you enjoy working with florals and ferns. For this card, I did not want to take away from the beauty of the botanical frame die from Card Creator Floral Panel Card set.
I started by die-cutting the insert die and the outside die frame at the same time out of thick white cardstock and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I removed all the negatives pieces using the Tool ’N One.
I decided I wanted to add color to the background while leaving the frame white. I used Bristol cardstock and blending tools with a rainbow color of Distress Oxide ink pads. Bristol is smooth cardstock that is perfect for blending these inks.
I used the coral ink and blended it on white cardstock, which I die-cut using the tag die. I stamped the sentiment with blank ink. Finally I can put my card together. I glued the rainbow panel to my card base, mounted the white panel with foam tape over it and then the sentiment over the panel with foam tape.
I hope you were inspired by this card. There is so much you can do with the Flower Garden Collection. Thanks so much for stopping by!
