Flower Garden Inspiration | Be True to Yourself with Ruby
Hi, crafty friends! This is Rubeena from A Rare Ruby, and I’m so excited to be a guest on the Spellbinders Blog today. This post is part of a series featuring the Flower Garden Collection by Sharyn Sowell! You can find my first two posts here and here.
The Flower Garden Collection has been fun to work with. I decided to use the frame die from Card Creator Floral Panel Card set again and color it.
I started by die-cutting the insert die and the outside die frame at the same time out of textured watercolor cardstock and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I removed all the negatives pieces using the Tool ’N One.
I used my Polychromos pencils in shades of green, coral, and yellow to color the entire frame. I used darker pencils for some basic shading. Once I finished coloring it, I mounted the panel to my white card base with foam tape.
The sentiment was stamped with clear embossing ink onto black cardstock and heat-embossed in white. I die-cut it using the tag die and mounted it to the center of the frame with foam tape.
I hope you were inspired by this card. There is so much you can do with the Flower Garden Collection. Thanks for stopping by and for Spellbinders for their generosity for having me as a guest.
