Exclusive Indie Collection Inspiration | Llama Love with Keeway
Hello crafty friends! This is Keeway Tsao and I’m thrilled to be back here guest blogging on the Spellbinders blog. I will be sharing with you some handmade cards featuring the Exclusive Indie Collection. I am such a huge fan of this line of dies! There such a wide variety of cute and fun dies, as well as beautiful, elegant ones as well.
Today, I will be sharing a cute and fun kind of card featuring the Happy Llama and Potted Cacti Die D-Lites. This sweet little llama was calling my name! I die cut him out of Natural card stock and used some Vintage Photo distress oxide inks to blend on some shading. I also used Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink to give him some rosey cheeks! Then, I die cut his (or her) blanket out of white card stock, and blended on Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink and used an orange copic markers to color in some dots.
I then used Potted Cacti Die D-Lites to die cut out a couple cacti out of Spearmint card stock. I used Peeled Paint distress oxide inks to give it some ink blended shading, and a white gel pen to add some details. The flowers were also from the same set of dies, which were die cut out of white card stock, and colored with some Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink.
I created a simple, soft background using watercolors. I gave the ground a little brown splatter to create a sandier look. And finally, I heat embossed a punny sentiment in white onto kraft card stock, and trimmed it down to a strip. I trimmed another strip of the same height to frame off the scene top and bottom.
The llama just looks so warm and fuzzy in the desert!
