Partial Die-cutting for Handmade Cards

Say thank you with this bright summer card featuring a fun partial die-cutting technique.

Talk about a card that feels like summer!  This one is perfect for sending to anyone that you need to thank for their kindness and generosity.  With it’s clean and simple design, there’s nothing fussy about this one!

We used a partial cutting technique with our Floral View Die Set and the Journey Platinum Machine.  Simply, this means letting the part of the die that you do not want to cut hanging out of the end of the “sandwich”.  This way, there’s no cutting happening on that portion of the cardstock panel.

Don’t you love these colors?  They really do POP in this beautiful color combination.  This view not only shows that but also how you can keep your creations clean & simple and still have a huge impact, don’t you think?

Let’s also talk about impact with our Journey Glaze!  Adding a thin layer on our Charming Thank You die cuts gives a little dimension and interest to our simple (yet stunning!) card, don’t you think ?

Have you tried this die cutting technique before?  Make sure you share with us on our Facebook page or by using the #funstampersjourney hashtag on Instagram, we’d love to see your take on this great technique.
