Elegant Cardmaking With PanPastels

Did you know that each Friday afternoon we share a new paper crafting or cardmaking technique with you LIVE on the FSJ Facebook page, and YouTube channel? This week we featured a simple and beautiful technique featuring PanPastels and the stunning Rose Garden background die.Try Day Friday Rose Garden Die Set

This is positively stunning, isn’t it?  Let’s take a look and see how this card was created:

The first step is to spread PanPastel color on a background panel, where the roses from the Rose Garden Die Set show the background paper. There’s a beautiful blend and build up of color with the Rose Gold, Copper, Raspberry Berry, and the pink & yellow from the Confectionary Days set.

Now, the same thing can be done on the actual die cut, also adding the Lemon Grass Pan Pastel on the leaves, as well.

Why not add a bit of the beautiful color to the petals of the Meadow Flowers?  It makes them more rich and the color even more beautiful.  Do you agree?

One of the last steps, of course, is to add the sentiment.  But with a card this beautiful, keeping it simple is the right idea.  The For You tag from the Handpicked For You stamp set is perfect here.  We’re actually sure you’ll think it’s perfect for SO many projects!

We can’t wait to see how you make this fun technique your own! Share with us on our Facebook page or by using the #funstampersjourney hashtag on Instagram, we’d love to see your take on this great technique.
