Good Vibes Only Inspiration | Washi Tape Cards with Caly
Hi, everyone! This is Caly Person. Thank you so much for joining me. Today I’m sharing projects from the Good Vibes Only collection by Stephanie Low. I’ve made two cards today using washi tape backgrounds with two ways to accent the die cuts from this collection.
On my first card, I covered a 4.25” x 5.5” card panel using the Floral Flurries washi tape by Altenew. After doing this, I trimmed the panel to 4” x 5.25”. I centered the Good Vibes Only die over this panel and die cut just the words.
I die cut the outline image using plain black paper. To add some shimmer, I used a Wink of Stella glitter pen in clear. If you have shimmer spritz or glitter cardstock, you can also use those to achieve the effect you want. Then I adhered the words over the shimmer outline.
I really like the word Good Vibes Only pulls in the background element to make this card more cohesive.
On my second card, I repeated the initial process above using Peach Gold washi tape – also from Altenew. I did not trim this panel.
I die cut the feathers the same way as mentioned above and die cut the outline image using black paper. Instead of adding shimmer on this card, I adhered the feather to the outlined black cardstock and used Glossy Accents to fill in the space for added shine.
To complete this card, I embossed a sentiment in white over black paper using a Simon Says Stamp set called Messages for Everyday.
Spellbinders Supplies:
Other Supplies:
Simon Says Stamp Messages for Everyday; Altenew Floral Flurries washi tape; Altenew Peach Gold washi tape; Glossy Accents; Wink of Stella – clear; Black cardstock; White cardstock
The black outlines really make the die-cut images pop on these cards and it’s a nice way to use the negative image of the die cuts using the background panel. Again, it makes the card cohesive and there are several ways to add a bit of shimmer. I really hope you enjoyed these projects and appreciate you stopping by today!
XOXO,
Caly

Wow Caly I like your style. I am stunned by how beautifully both these dies worked with those Washi tapes. Nicely done.
