Good Vibes Only – Colorful Liquid Color Background Tutorial

Isn’t this beautiful?  It really feels like summer — all of the best parts!  [Because we all know sometimes the idea of summer is better than the actual season — sometimes it can be *too* hot, right?!] Not only that, it’s very fun to send AND to create.  Let’s take a quick look at how the card came together.

A Whip Cream cardstock panel is the base of the card and will there be a lot of building on top of it!  Liquid colors placed on either Clear View Sheets or Clear Blocks will help you add color to your Dauber Dowel.  [Tip: Practice the circular motions off of the panel first so that the color is more diluted and softer on your panel.]

We’ll take all of the Liquid Colors [Bubble Gum, Limeade Splash, Peaches and Cream, Banana Cream, and Watermelon Fusion] and add circular bits all over the panel.  The colors should blend together seamlessly and appear quite smooth when you are finished.

Now, you can stamp the Dream Flowers ATS stamp with Clear Pigment Ink .

Once you have the stamping, you can add the Journey White Embossing Powder and then heat it all to the smooth raised texture we all love.  At that point, it’s all about assembling and layering all of the pieces together.  So exciting!
