Back to School DIY Teacher Gifts
This week on our Facebook page, we are having so much fun with back to school projects and today we’ll show you how to make the teachers in your life feel extra special. You can see the video right here.
Love it? Want to see more? Let’s do just that.
Seriously! Aren’t these little guys adorable? One of the coolest things about the Colorful Friends tape is that you can build your own little person. You can match a friend or child with these fun and various pieces. The first step to creating the clips is to build the person on the Whip Cream cardstock.
Then, you will trim around the outside of your little friend, leaving a little bit of a white border.
Now, adding Journey Glaze is, of course, the perfect way to add a little fun & dimension. Bonus is that it really adheres the edges to the cardstock.
Now, assembling is a breeze! We used the Fun Day Elements as the base of the clip – but you could use what works for you! A couple of Foam Squares + a 3/4″ punched circle of Whip Cream Cardstock [to hide the foam squares!] are all you need to pull it all together.
Now, you need something super cute to pull the clips, and any other items, together. How about our Passport Book? Yes! It’s so perfect for holding a simple gift or gift card, don’t you think?
Now, you knew we had to add some decor to the Passport Book! So, we took our Thanks Teacher stamp set and our Clear Pigment Ink Pad to stamp the cute little apple. Now, to add color enter in the PanPastels!
When you’re adding the PanPastels you can layer the color, how fun! Start with the lighter colors and work your way darker, blending all the way.
Isn’t that so pretty? Love the dimension it adds when using a variety of shades to create the end result.
Now, we want to add a little focal point with this cute typography stamp. Shannon often rubs the Colorless Blender PanPastel before heat embossing to not have stray embossing powder on her project. This time, she added a little extra to mimic the chalkboard affect. Isn’t that such a cool idea?
