A Sweet Christmas Inspiration | Lovely Layers Layout with Anna
Hello again crafty friends. Anna here and it’s time for my second project created featuring A Sweet Christmas collection by Sharyn Sowell. I already shared with you fun idea of Christmas lanterns and fast and easy card. You can find them here. This time I created a layout and it’s a special one. Why? Because I wanted to show you, that Christmas dedicated products can be fun all year round.
I love spreading my supplies and finding new ways I can use them. Versatility is something I really appreciate. I feel like I spend my money well, if I can use products in a various range of projects. That’s why when I got this pretty collection of dies, I thought that some of them would look pretty with every project, not only Christmas one. I went crazy with cutting Mistletoe gatefold with different pattern papers.
Creating layers is a fantastic scrappy technique and it can get you spectacular effects. I made delicate and romantic frame using cut outs. Each layer is cut in different pattern paper but they are all from the same collection. That’s why I am sure they will all match together.
Spellbinders dies cut beautifully even the most detailed designs, so it didn’t take me much time. Mistletoe gatefold die can go well with even a wedding card too. Berries and leaves are a perfect as romantic element.
My layout looks busy, so I didn’t add a lot of embellishments. Two pictures and few fussy cut elements from the papers, are more than enough with such a pretty background.
You can use this technique on the card, simply layer die cuts row after row.
