Create a Halloween Treat Bag with the Card Carrier Die
You know how we love our Try Day Friday series! Each Friday afternoon on our Facebook page, we share a new technique with you LIVE. This week we have Halloween in mind and we’re going to share the sweetest little treat bag – and it’s so easy and fun to make. If you’d like to watch on our Facebook page, you can see the video right here.
See?! It’s creepy and crawly, so perfect for Halloween! Yet, the little bag is fun to make and would be so cute as decor or maybe even at a place setting. All of that is completely up to you. However, let’s take a quick look at how Shannon put all of this together.
The base is so easy to create if you have the Card Carrier die set. Shannon used our Corrugated Stock for this project, but you can use any base you’d like! [Note: You don’t need to cut the handles!]
Now, let’s talk about the handles first, since I just told you that you didn’t need to use the die to cut them. Nope, let’s use ribbon instead. We LOVED Shannon’s choice of the Black Licorice Sparkle Ribbon, it’s so pretty and we just love the galaxy of sparkles on the handle of the treat bag. Talk about making it special! But, how about we start decorating, too? How about starting with a piece of one of our Fall-O-Ween Prints cut with one of our Journey Circles?
Now, the fun begins! Let’s stamp! Let’s color! That’s what we love, right?! How about these creepy, crawly spiders? Our Strange Beauty stamp set does the trick bringing the Halloween spirit to our treat bags. Let’s give those spiders some colors with a combination of Liquid Colors [Sweet Pear, Cool Pool, Turbo Teal, Candy Apple & Pretty Amethyst] and a little bit of PanPastels, too. Heck, throw in a little bit of Sparkle Silk just to make it all pop!
Oooh, that all came together so nicely, didn’t it? Let’s finish it off. A simple splatter or two of our Black Licorice Silk will do as well as a handful of our Holiday Sparkles. Now, we’re ready to stuff those bags and have a fun holiday!
