Jane Davenport Artomology | Cardmaking with Sunflower Journal Dies with Enza Gudor
Hi everyone! Enza here, and thank you for joining me. This is the second of three blog posts I’m sharing this week showcasing the fabulous Jane Davenport Artomology die sets. You can find the first post here.
Today I have a set of cards featuring the Sunflower Journal Die set.
The first card is a shaker, which was inspired by the size of the sunflower. I love how big it is! I started by die cutting the flower directly from a card panel that I had previously trimmed to measure 4×5.25”. I then backed the opening with a piece of acetate cut to size, and applied foam tape all around it. Next, I filled the opening with my shaped sequins before adhering a piece of patterned paper to the back.
For the leaves, I just used more patterned paper to give them some color before gluing them to the card panel.
For the second card, I used the leaves to create a wreath.
I backed each leaf with patterned paper from the collection I used, and arranged them in the center of the card to form the circular shape. Some of the leaves where adhered with foam dots for dimension. I finished the card with a sentiment and some twine wrapped around the bottom portion of it.
