FSJ October Bloom Box | Beautiful Friendship Card Kit!

We are loving the October Bloom Box!  Have you seen it?  Because if you have, we know you are excited, too. It features the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.  And the color palette?  It’s wonderful to use for love and friendship, plus it’s just so beautifully coordinated.  Do you have anyone in mind you would send these cards to?

Sending cards can be so easy when all you have to do is add your inks and a few tools. We provide pre-cut elements, coordinating embellishments and step-by-step instructions in your Bloom Box. You will create 4 eye-catching, unique greeting cards using the supplies we’ve provided.

Hello, beauty!  Would you like to know a little bit more about how this card could be created?  It’s and simple with a bit of inking and heat embossing. Let’s take a look!

There is a Bubble Gum cardstock panel included in this kit [along with the Dark Roast card base, Limeade Splash accent cardstock and Whip Cream cardstock oval] and that is where we will have fun with the stamping and heat embossing.  We’ll use the largest coneflower and center from the stamp set with our Clear Pigment Ink Pad.  Stamping the flower all over the cardstock, making sure to also stamp some of the edges with the flower only partially showing.  This feels really natural and creates movement on the card.

We’ll place the panel in our Media Tray and pour Journey Clear Embossing Powder all of the panel, then shaking off the excess back into the tray. Then, it’s time to use the Journey Heat Gun to melt all of that embossed goodness! The base is beautiful and we are going to make the contrast even deeper!

The resist technique is really fun to do with stunning results.  A large Dauber Dowel and the Rustic Rose True Color Fusion Ink Pad really create a smooth surface when you use the circular motion to apply the ink. Once you’re finished, if you take a clean paper towel you can remove any of the excess ink by buffing it off.

We love the combination of colors in the Coneflower bouquet!  It’s the perfect way to give a friend a bunch of flowers and let them know you are thinking of them!

It’s impossible to decide between a variety of colors or if you prefer the monochromatic blooms!  Maybe we’ll just choose the splatters and Journey Glazed sentiment as our favorite on this card.

There are so many places to look on this card that it’s hard to decide where to let your eye go first.  The layered cardstock is amazing – adding the sweet green hue that resembles grass and the flower stem.  Then, you add the stamped flowers on the tag – just beautiful!  We absolutely love how this whole card came together, don’t you?
