Give Thanks Fall Card with Zen Leaves

Hello, Fun friends!  It’s such a wonderful time of year, not only for friends, family and gratitude, but for crafting, as well.  We can create so many amazing projects that are beautiful and fun to make.  We have a card for you today that we think you’re going to love.  You can use it to send as a greeting, or use it as an invitation.  Heck, use it for whatever you’d like!

Isn’t that just beautiful?  We love the variety of colors and textures. The Color Me Fall background stamp set is just beautiful on it’s own, but when you add the change in colors it mimics the natural pattern the leaves take each year.

To create the background you can have a lot of fun!  First, you’ll cut Clearview Sheet to 6” x 7” to create a workable sheet. After, place 2-3 drops of Lemon Drop Liquid Color on the left side, 2-3 drops of Orange Creamsicle Liquid Color in the middle and 2-3 drops of Rich Coral Liquid Color on the right. With the Liquid Colors in place, you’ll spritz with Media Mister filled with water to create a puddle. Stamp Color Me Fall stamp into the ombre color mixture and then stamp onto your Whip Cream panel. You can repeat the re-inking process and stamp over and over OR spritz stamp again with water from Media Mister and restamp the image.

Now, you’ll want to color in the stamp, right? Color in with extremely watered down Lemon Drop Liquid Color and Orange Creamsicle Liquid Color. Heat set with your Journey Heat Gun then flick with Citrus Cooler Silk. Just so pretty, don’t you think?

The Zen Leaves ATS adds some variety with it’s beautiful background pattern and mixing the colors, just like we saw with the Color Me Fall background.  It’s a beautiful way to make the leaves look natural, as they often do in the fall. The leaves are perfect atop the Corrugated Stock oval – the beautiful color and texture are perfect for fall!

Are you creating any fall or Thanksgiving inspired projects this year?  Do you think you’ll use these techniques or traditional colors?  Or are you more likely to try something different?  Make sure you share your projects with us on our Facebook Page, tag us on Instagram or use the hashtag #funstampersjourney on Instagram as we’d love to see your projects!
