5 Handmade Gifts and Treat Bags for Christmas
Do you love to give handmade gifts and goodies at Christmastime? As crafters, we love to find ways to add homemade touches to our gift bags and boxes, and we love to make gifts and treats for those we love. Let’s look at 5 different ways to craft up Christmas gifts, plus darling ways to package them. They would be so fun to have on hand for unexpected gifts you might need.
Tic Tac Toe
This one is genius and perfect for Thanksgiving or any other gathering. Simply use our Dowel Stands [painted with Black Licorice and Whip Cream Acrylic Paint] to create a Tic Tac Toe Board! That’s right, the little stands fit perfectly in the Vagbond Chips box. It’s a great item to put out on the table for little [or not so little] people waiting to eat!
Planner Goodies Gift Bag
How about putting together a little bag of paper goodness for the paper lover or planner in your life? Even young girls and teenage girls love washi and clips you could put in the bag. It’s the perfect size for a few paper crafting goodies! Even better? You can add a gorgeous little tag and the paper crafter in your life is sure to appreciate all of the details.
DIY Hoop Ornament
Our DIY Hoops and It’s Cold Outside stamp set are the focal point of this sweet ornament, but you could personalize this idea for your recipient! Or, again, make one or two to have on hand for when you have an unexpected visitor!
Handmade Card Set
What about a few handmade cards inside a sweet bag? We all know that people LOVE receiving card sets — now they have beautiful handmade cards to give to their friends and family without the work. You’ll look like a star with this idea.
Advent Calendar Treat Bags
Last, but certainly not least, is the Advent Calendar! Many families do this year after year and you could create your own, personalized version. Slip whatever you can dream up in the Mini Canvas Bag [that you decorated, of course!] and you will have some happy faces every day in December!
These are just a small sampling of ideas — because of course you can create anything you can dream up! Make sewing kits or throw in a gift card. It’s up to you! Make sure you share with how you use the Mini Canvas Bags this season. We are always loving your creativity and seeing what you create! You can link up in the comments below or post your ideas on our Facebook page!

Love these ideas. I am going to make the tic, tac, toe game right off the bat and I love the mini cards. I think I will make gift tags and put them in the bags. Thank you so much!
