Gifts In A Jar | TryDay Friday
You know how we love our Try Day Friday series! Each Friday afternoon on our Facebook page, we share a new technique with you LIVE. Isn’t that so fun? This week concept designer Shannon Smith is putting together a FABULOUS idea! If you saw the video, we know that you think this idea is as clever as we do. If you’d like to watch on our YouTube channel, you can see the video right here. Make sure you leave Shannon a comment and let her know how much you enjoyed her projects and appreciate her sharing fun ideas with all of us.
Do you ever need a little something to give to neighbors or other people in your life at Christmas time? Not sure what to give? There’s a popular trend to give gifts in mason jars. We love this idea and we love Shannon’s take on it. Let’s dive right in!
Isn’t that AMAZING?! We’re just in love with this. It’s so simple and hardly seems like a big deal but it’s the best way to give the gift of handmade tags. The recipient of the jar can create gift tags oh so easily! And you have a great gift to give when someone drops by or for someone who has everything! Would you like to see a little bit of what Shannon included in the jar?
As you can see, the contents are similar. Tags cut from the Steel Rule Tag Set and Whip Cream Cardstock, trees [and other pieces, too!] cut from the Special Day Tags Die Set , Limeade Splash & Candy Apple Cardstock and Brush Gold Cardstock. There’s also some fun stuff to embellish the tags – Candy Apple Washi Tape, Gold Tinsel, and Poinsettia Burst Paper Flowers. That’s of course not all — there’s more! BUT, the real message here — is that the contents are up to you! Add the tags that are your favorites and the embellishments you love to add to tags. Heck, personalize the jar for the recipient and add touches they would love! Would you like to see Shannon put together a jar? Check out her video here:
Sky is the limit, and the size of the jar, of course! But this idea spreads the love of handmade gifts and treats. Won’t you join us this season? When you create, link up in the comments below or post your ideas on our Facebook page!
