Creative Ways to Add Washi to Handmade Cards
Hello, Fun friends! We’re so glad to be back with you today — we hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are ready to get back to doing some wonderful crafting! We have a simple idea for you to use the fabulous washi tape we all know and love. It is such a beautiful and easy to supply but it’s always great to see different ways to use the lovely tapes, so let’s see a few ways to put the washi to use on cards! [Would you like to see how Kim Kesti put these together? Make sure to watch the video right here.]
Isn’t that a total stunner?! And how easy would it be to put together this card and use a bit of your washi stash? Our Simply Gold Washi Tape is already beautifully coordinated and would be definitely perfect to send to any loved one. New Years, anyone? [And don’t you just love how gorgeous it is paired with our Holiday Script Stamp Set?]
It’s our Holiday Script Stamp back again, but this time with a different twist. Same idea but different color palette. This time, we paired together our popular Classic Elegance Washi set with the Candy Apple Washi Tape. Isn’t it just perfect?! It’s obviously great for Christmas, but wow! Don’t rule out birthdays, Valentine’s Day or any celebration!
Doesn’t this card just make you swoon? We are just in love with the combo of tapes, the inked up background and fashion silver with a beautiful sentiment from our Remarkable You stamp set. Such a perfect card to send to lift the spirits of anyone you know. Let’s show you just one step of creating this card, shall we?
You can pair any combo of tapes you like. However, we chose to use our Denim Prints Journey Washi Tape plus the Cool Parade Journey Washi Tape for this card. We simply placed strips of the tape on a panel of Whip Cream Cardstock for that amazing background.
Are you a washi tape fan? Have you tried using washi like we shared with you here today? We’d love to see what you’ve been up to with our lovely tapes so make sure to share with us on Facebook or tag us on Instagram!

I love the way you’ve used the washi tape. I wouldn’t have thought of these ideas. You’ve created a washi tape monster here.
