Rainbows & Embossed Resist | TryDay Friday

You know how we love our Try Day Friday series!  Each Friday afternoon on our Facebook page, we share a new technique with you LIVE.  Isn’t that so fun?  This week Creative Director Kim Kesti is using some tried and true favorites, some Liquid Colors with heat embossing.  Not only are the results colorful but it’s also a lot of fun to do. Are you crazy about rainbows like we are? If you answered yes, then you are surely crazy about this card! The colors pop right off the cardstock and the heat embossed background pattern is just perfect. But, don’t let the rainbow fool you — you can choose any color combination you wish! Maybe you’d choose red, pink and white. Or perhaps blue, grey and green! We’re loving the rainbows and our Liquid Colors helped create the perfect palette.

After stamping with Clear Pigment Ink and heat embossing with Journey White Embossing Powder, that is where the Liquid Colors come in. Kim simply used a tiny bit of each Liquid Color [less than a dime size!] and a baby wipe to apply a swipe of color. No water to dilute, no repeated wiping or blending. You can then use a clean wipe to remove any left over color from the heat embossed areas. Yes, it really is that easy!
