Die cut parts of camera as shown. Note lens die cuts will be displayed in a later step. Unless otherwise noted, cut one of each. Note: Make sure to cut and emboss camera body, camera top, self-timer lever and screws. That makes all the difference showing the detail! Cut strips of black or any color cardstock and glue to back of message inserts to “color in” the letters. For the message inserts, die cut a photo or add a special message.
Glue top piece to camera. There are two slits on the camera body that the camera top sits in. Outside pieces are glued to the top of the camera body; the middle piece is glued behind the center of the camera body. Glue on button embellishments as shown. Option: Use foam adhesive when adding the small lens and self-timer button. Since you need 3 screws to finish the front of the camera, you can make the lever and ring more substantial by gluing 3 layers together before attaching to the camera front. For back of camera, add camera top, but it is an option as to how much to decorate further. Add a sentiment or photo where the lens would go on the back of the camera!
There are 2 sets of 3D Vignettes that will be placed in the top and bottom corners of the back of the camera bodies. Fold the bottom crossbars in half and insert into Vignettes “V” side up, creating a pocket where the message inserts will sit. For the top cross bars, cut or pull apart 2 crossbars at the perforation (to create 4 single crossbars) and place in the upper Vignette pieces, perforated side down. Use a strong adhesive, such as Red Liner tape, on Vignette tabs and then attach to camera as shown.
Create the look of a camera lens by cutting the various lens dies at different widths and adhere at various heights with foam adhesive. The interior black embossed lens and the silver lens reflection piece were adhered off center to create the effect of depth and movement. Adhere to front of camera body with foam adhesive.
