Stamp Camp Collection by Jane Davenport | Cardmaking Ideas with TaeEun Yoo
Hello crafty friends, I’m TaeEun from Rainbow in November! I’m so thrilled to be guest designing on the Spellbinders blog again to showcase the awesome Stamp Camp Collection by Jane Davenport! This collection includes six clear stamp sets in a very artistic style. I love the sketchy art of her stamp designs! So chic and cool!
I’ve made two cards using some of the stamps from Stamp Camp Collection by Jane Davenport.
Glorious Mermaid
The first card is featuring Glorious Mermaid stamp set along with the sentiment from the Beautiful Dreamer stamp set.
I started off by stamping the mermaid in a black pigment ink on Bristol Smooth paper. I colored her using Karin brush markers and Finetec Pearlescent watercolors. The shine is hard to see in the photos but it’s shimmery IRL! After the coloring was done I fussy cut the mermaid and set it aside.
To create the background I first made a watercolored panel in blue-turquoise using Gansai Tambi watercolor. I cut a heavyweight white cardstock using the Waves die set and adhered it on the watercolored panel. I added the wavy background on a light blue cardbase and foam mounted the mermaid on it.
The sentiment from Beautiful Dreamer set was silver heat embossed on some vellum. I tore the vellum and added it to the card. I finished off the card with some clear iridescent sequins.
Fluent Fantastic
The second card is showcasing the Fluent Fantastic stamp set.
I stamped the sketch of the lady on a Canson watercolor paper in a black pigment ink and colored the image using Ecoline liquid watercolors. After the panel was dry I cut it using a die from Majestic Labels 25 die set.
I dry embossed the front of a white cardbase using an ornate pattern die from the same set to match with the die cut front panel.
I’ve made a DIY striped pattern using some scraps of cardstock in royal blue, green, teal, light blue and gray and foam mounted the panel on the dry embossed card base as shown in the picture.
I gold heat embossed the sentiment from the Queen of Everything stamp set on the colored front panel and added it to the card using some foam tape. To finish off the card I scattered some rhinestones in matching colors.
