Inspirational and Elegant Cards with the Expressions of Faith Collection
Hello there! It’s Andrea Shell from Blissfully Scrappy, and I am delighted to be guest-designing on the Spellbinders blog!
I was fortunate to be able to play with the new Expressions of Faith Collection and have three cards to share with you.
The dies and glimmer plates in the new Faith Collection are so beautiful and elegant! I love how intricate and delicate the designs are. This collection makes creating meaningful, inspirational projects easy and quick.
Layered Cross with Foiled Sentiment
My first card features the new Kaleidoscope Cross Dies, which is a set of layering dies. I die-cut the two layers from pink and purple cardstocks and adhered them together with liquid adhesive. After assembling the die-cuts to form the cross, I affixed it to yellow glitter paper and trimmed around it with my scissors.
I embossed an A2 panel of white cardstock with the Love Stripes Embossing Folder and adhered it to a white card. To frame that gorgeous cross, I die-cut pale blue cardstock with the largest Elegant Twist Ovals Dies. I love how the lacy oval mimics the design in the cross! I attached the oval to my card with foam tape and affixed the cross on top with liquid adhesive.
My sentiment is from the Faith Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Plate, which includes the glimmer plates and coordinating dies. I foiled my chosen sentiment with Champagne Glimmer Foil and die-cut it with the dies. I adhered the sentiment with foam adhesive and finished with a scattering of pearls.
Other supplies:
White, pink, blue, and purple cardstock; yellow glitter paper; liquid adhesive; foam tape; flat-backed pearls
Foiled Cross with Foiled Sentiment
This next card features the Gleaming Cross Glimmer Plate, which is a set of three glimmer plates with coordinating dies. The delicate flowers and leaves in this design are absolutely beautiful! I foiled the elements with Prism Glimmer Foil onto pink cardstock and cut them out.
With the Rosa Diamante Dies, I die-cut purple and blue cardstocks and adhered the shapes together. Using liquid adhesive, I assembled the cross pieces onto the layered die-cut.
I embossed white cardstock with an embossing folder from my stash, attached the panel to a white card, and adhered the cross piece with foam tape. I foiled a sentiment from the Faith Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Plates with Silver Glimmer Foil and die-cut it with the coordinating die. After attaching my sentiment with foam adhesive, I adhered a few pearls to the card.
Other supplies:
White, pink, blue, and purple cardstock; liquid adhesive; foam tape; flat-backed pearls
Faith Love Hope Foiled Card
For my last card, I decided to highlight a sentiment from the Faith Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Plates with the gorgeous Richelieu Square Dies. I die-cut the various elements from the Richelieu Dies from pink, blue and purple cardstocks. I added details to the pink layer with the Essential Glimmer Squares and Essential Glimmer Circles Glimmer Plates and Aura Glimmer Foil.
I layered the pink die-cut on top of the blue square. After adhering the purple square to a white card, I attached the layered square on top with foam tape. I foiled the sentiment from Faith Glimmer Sentiments with Aura Foil, die-cut it with the circle die from the Richelieu Square Dies and popped it up onto my card.
To finish my card, I added some flowers created with the Layered Flowers Die of the Month from April 2019. I embellished their centers with some gems from my stash.
Other supplies:
White, pink, blue, and purple cardstock; liquid adhesive; foam tape; flat-backed gems.
