Truly Yours Collection – Card Inspiration with Annie Williams

Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share a set of projects using the new Truly Yours Collection.  The gorgeous classic design elements and beautiful new Glimmer shapes and sentiments inspired me to create four pretty and feminine cards for various occasions.

There was something so striking about the simplicity of the Cameo Die Set that I pulled these out to play with first. For a brighter look, I decided to mimic blue agate cameo jewelry in this pretty missing you card.

  • Die cut white cardstock with the largest oval from the Elliptical Ovals die set. Leave the die-cut inside of the die and lay the die and paper down on your work surface.
  • Using the die as a stencil, blend Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks onto the center of the die-cut with a blending brush (use lightest shades in the center and darker shades around the edges).
  • Die cut white and Mirror Silver Cardstock using the silhouette, laurel frame, and flowers from the Cameo die set.

  • Adhere the purple foiled panel on top of a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
  • Pop the inked oval background up in the center of the card with more foam adhesive.
  • Adhere the cameo, laurel frame, and flowers to the inked oval layer with liquid adhesive. Embellish with blue and light purple crystal rhinestones.
  • Pop the sentiment up on the bottom of the card with more foam adhesive.

The beautiful birds in the Heart Swans die set are perfect for so many occasions.  I gave them a pretty nest background with lots of flowers for this easy love card.

  • Die cut white and Mirror Silver cardstock using the outer frame rim and insert dies from the Wistful Window die set. Then die cut the center of each using the leaf frame rim and insert dies from the Deco Bloom die set.
  • Adhere the layers together with liquid glue, allowing the silver layer to peek out a bit from behind the white layer as a shadow.
  • Die cut Raindrop Cardstock using the outer frame rim die from the Wistful Window die set.

The little dress from the Paper Couture Dress die set is such a sweet and feminine design and you can choose to dress it up or down.  I used patterned paper for a more casual party dress on this fun birthday card for a young girl.

  • Die cut patterned paper from the Whimsical Forest paper pad using the bodice and skirt dies from the Paper Couture Dress die set. Die cut pink shimmer cardstock using the bow die from the set and assemble with liquid glue.
  • Die cut Mirror Silver Cardstock with the hanger die and adhere it to the dress with liquid glue.

The tiny flower bouquet in the Bouquet of Flowers die set is so beautiful and versatile!  I used it here with some vellum and patterned paper to create a soft and pretty missing you card.

  • Die cut heavyweight vellum with the wrapper die and various colors of cardstock with the flower and stem dies from the Bouquet of Flowers die set. Assemble the bouquet with liquid glue.
  • Die cut Mirror Gold Cardstock with the bow die from the set and add it to the bouquet with liquid glue.
  • Die cut patterned paper with the largest frame and pattern dies from the Essential Rectangles die set. Use the holes around the edges to add a decorative stitched edge with white embroidery thread.
