Tis the Season | Three Cards with Suzanna Hansen
Hey there, crafty pals! I’m so excited to be here on the Spellbinders blog today! My name is Suzanna. You may know me online and on Instagram as Made in Mojave. I’m sharing three cards today that I created with the Tis the Season collection. Each design is super versatile and can be used to create both holiday cards and regular cards alike.
This first card is simple, but packs a punch, with the dimension added using the embossing folder.
I first embossed a white piece of cardstock and adhered it to a red mat for my background. I die cut the florals and greenery, then added them in a small cluster at the bottom of the card front.
Using silver foil, I created a simple sentiment strip to go below the die cut words.
For the next card, I created three bottle brush trees in different colors. I adhered them to a piece of wood grain paper from my stash. I finished it off with a sprinkling of stars and a simple sentiment.
The last card happens to be my favorite. First, I used metallic craft paint and a stencil to create a snowy look on the background of my card. I die cut two cars and adhered them to the front of my slimline card, above the snowy hills that I also die cut. I added a few trees, and dusted the top of them with the metallic paint. This card came together with a sentiment across the bottom.
I’m so glad you’ve joined me here on the blog today, and hope these cards lend some inspiration for your own holiday crafting!

These are near perfect cards, by my way of thinking. Simple is elegant to me, and these are certainly both. Achieving this level of simplicity and elegance requires a great deal in the way of artistic ability so as not to make it look simply like a few random die cuts stuck to a background. My compliments and thanks to the artist!
