Tis the Season Inspiration with Joe Sysavath
Hi there, this is Joe. I have been crafting for almost 2 years and am so thrilled to work with Spellbinders’ Tis the Season collection. Come hang out with me on Instagram at @vjsjoey. I have some cards to share with you and hope it will inspire you to create with us.
I love the holiday seasons and love creating cards for these special occasions. For these projects, I was inspired by not-so traditional Christmas colors and to repeat the color theme for all 3 projects I created.
Warm Wishes Christmas Card
I kept this card simple but wanted to make an impact in the middle so that it is the focal point. I left the top and bottom of the card white. I first started out with the top and bottom using white cardstock and mounting them, with fun foam, on top of the top folding card. Next I added blue strips to form the background in the middle. I die cut the little trees, using a variety of cardstock colors, and placed them on the left side. To give the card more interest, I splattered some white paint on the trees and background. Lastly, I added the Warm Wishes greetings to finish off the card.

Other supplies
Neenah cardstock, Mono glue, fun foam, gouache paint, double sided tape.
Merry Christmas Card
I love the dies that were used to create this card. I combined multiple die sets in this project. The background was created with white paint splatters and then I mounted hills on the bottom. I created the car using blue cardstock and then adding some distress oxide ink to give it a little of a rustic feel. I then placed Bottle Brush Trees in random locations to create a wintery feel. To finish off the card, I added some Swarovski crystals to create sparkling stars and the Merry Christmas word die sentiment.

Happy Holidays Card
This card was a lot of fun to create. I die cut a bunch of flowers and leaves from the Christmas Blooms die. To create interest, I used multiple colors but that would still tie into the previous 2 projects. I first started out creating the background using the Forevergreen embossing folder. I then added the flowers and leaves on to top form a wreath. To finish the card, I added the Happy Holiday word die.
