September’21 Release Party – Booth Tour & Collections Overview

It’s that time again! Join Nicole Westervelt in the Spellbinders Booth as she showcases the September 2021 release. This is part three of our holiday release, but we’d like to call it Holiday and MORE, because as you’ll see, it includes products you’ll use far beyond the holiday season for year-round crafting.

Let’s begin with a product new to the Spellbinders shop, that you’ll definitely use all year long. We’re thrilled to now carry Nuvo Drops in our shop. Add shiny, dimensional details to your cards and crafts in a variety of colors. (We’re especially in love with the White Blizzard Glitter Drops for snowy winter scenes!)

Christmas Traditions

Our first new collection is called Christmas Traditions, which is reminiscent of all the memories and traditions of the Christmas season.

Rejoice Nativity (S5-467) and Through the Woods (S5-468) are die sets with an oval and circle shaped format and they can be used for cards, tags, or even ornaments. You’ll love using the elements within their coordinating frames, or on their own.

This collection contains two clear photopolymer stamp sets that were previously released under the FSJ brand. These best sellers, Three Kings (STP-045), and Vintage Holidays (STP-049) have been refreshed and relaunched for this release.

Next, you’ll love our All the Stars stencil (STN-006). This 5.25×6.5” stencil will add the perfect snowy or starry sky to your cards and crafts. Pair it with modeling paste and glitter for extra dimension and sparkle, or use ink or paint for a bold sky in any color.

This collection hosts four new Glimmer Plates, some of which are Glimmer/die combinations. The Holiday Florals Background Glimmer Plate (GLP-290) creates a beautiful poinsettia background, plus includes coordinating sentiments. The matching Holiday Florals Glimmer Plate & Die Set (GLP-289) creates a stunning poinsettia blossom and holly berry cluster.

The Diamonds Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set (GLP-292) is a Glimmer plate that extends far beyond the holidays. Make backgrounds for cards all year long with any color scheme you’d like, or stick to classic holiday colors for a seasonal card.

Pair any of these products with a sentiment from our new Essential Christmas Greetings Hot Foil Plate (GLP-293) or the Christmas Time Sentiments Clear Stamp Set (STP-056).

Rounding out the Christmas Traditions Collection is the Christmas Traditions 6×6 Paper Pad (SCS-156). We’re in love with the beautiful gold foiled prints, poinsettia print, festive Christmas lights, and traditional stripes and plaid.

Merry Stitchmas

The Merry Stitchmas Collection lands in our holiday release but contains dies that are “evergreen,” meaning they aren’t just for holidays. These dies cut beautiful patterns of dots that act as a guide for stitching.

The Circular Stitch Slimline Strip (S4-1160) can create a border or background that fits cards up to a slimline size. The Diamond Stitch Etched Dies (S2-319) work similarly, creating beautiful borders or backgrounds. The outer dies for both sets feature split rims for added versatility, so you can add a decorative edge to your cards.

The Circular Stitch Background Dies (S5-490) cut out a stitch-able background that can be customized in any colors for any kind of card. Stitching brings out the beauty of these dies, but guess what? Many of these dies include embossed lines and details so they look gorgeous even without stitching.

Two dies in this collection are specifically holiday-centered. The Stitchmas Tree Dies (S3-411) include a tree outline and its tree insert with circular patterns and leafy garlands. The Sparkling Mandala Dies (S3-412) create an elegant snowflake-inspired shape. Use these dies with or without stitching for elegant Christmas cards.

To complement this collection, Spellbinders has partnered with DMC to offer a variety of thread and floss bundles that are perfect for stitching. The Variegated Floss Bundle (SCS-157) includes 18 variegated floss skeins that will provide an abundance of color tones for any stitching project. DMC Essential Metallics Diamant Thread Bundle (SCS-158) and Essential Holiday Thread Bundle (SCS-159) each contain 4 smooth, tangle-free metallic threads.

Susan’s Garden Club

Susan Tierney-Cockburn’s latest collection is called Susan’s Garden Club. This new collection pairs flowers with containers that can be mixed and matched across die sets and throughout other collections. This collection contains: Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot (S6-176), Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery (S6-180), Gladiolus and Berry Picking Basket (S6-181), Oriental Lily and Wellies (S5-478), Daffodil/Narcissus and Antique Vase with Honey Bee (S5-470) and Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket (S6-182). Check out the How to section on the Spellbinders YouTube Channel to see video tutorials with each of these die sets.
