Open Road Collection 3 Ways with Jennifer Kotas
Hello! My name is Jen Kotas and I’m so happy to be on the Spellbinders blog today. I’ve got three cards to share with you made using the new Open Road collection. This is such a fun and playful collection that gave me the opportunity to play around with color.
Head in the Clouds Card
This collection can be used for masculine or feminine cards and anything in between. Playing with the color combination was the key to making these cards extra special.
- Emboss the Head in the Clouds Embossing Folder on a piece of 4” x 5 1/4” white cardstock and adhere to an A2 card base with craft foam
- Add teal and pink ink lightly starting at the center and working either up or down
- Die-cut the On Cloud Nine dies from white cardstock and one large one from gold cardstock
- Stamp the sentiment from Open Road Sentiment Stamps with black ink on a large cloud die cut
- Back the sentiment cloud with the gold clouds slightly offset
- Adhere the plain clouds throughout the card with thin foam squares
- Add the sentiment cloud with thicker foam tape
- Adhere iridescent jewels throughout
