A great way to utilize the etched dies is to spell out words in your crafts. You can customize them for holidays, special events, a special someone, and other occasions. The etched dies were designed to fit on all card sizes from A2 (5.5 x 4.25”), slimline (3.5 x 8.5”), 5 x 7”, and 6 x 6”.
Not only can the dies be used to create words, but other designs focused on names and individual letters can be wonderful for personalization.Check out cards from our designers Tina Herbeck, Zsoka Marko, Emily Leiphart, and Joan Bardee. The alphabet dies pair well with other decorative dies, sentiments, and look fantastic with or without stitching.
Tina Herbeck’s project focuses on the Stitched w Etched Dies (S1-088) on a slimline card (3.5 x 8.5”) that coordinates with a sentiment. By including some decorative dies such as the Be Bold Blooms (S5-502), an embossed background, matching glimmer sentiment, and the stitched die, Tina’s card is a lovely design to gift someone.
Another personalization card example we love is this one created by Zsoka Marko. Included in this slimline (3.5 x 8.5”) sized card are the Stitched a Etched Dies (S1-066), Stitched n Etched Dies (S1-079), and Stitched y Dies (S1-090) from the collection. While Zsoka doesn’t incorporate stitching with the alphabet dies, they still shine beautifully amongst the flower dies, sentiments, and background.
Emily Leiphart’s card focuses on the Stitched l Etched Dies (S1-077) and includes the Stitched Alphabet Glimmer Descriptors (GLP-328). The stitched die stands out amongst the colorful background, sentiments, and floral dies. In this example, the dies and sentiments pair perfectly. You can also mix and match with many other sentiments, dies, and embossing folders you already have.
Our final example for today is Joan Bardee’s unique pattern of Stitched u Etched Dies (S1-086). Opting to leave the dies unstitched, the colorful letters and floral etched die create a beautiful card. By using the Stitched u Etched Dies (S1-086), Joan coordinates the die with a sentiment to create the sentence, “U are in my thoughts.”
