Gilded Greetings with Erum Tasneem

Hello everyone! I am Erum Tasneem, and I am super excited to be invited as a Guest Designer at the Spellbinders Blog to feature The Right Words by Becca Feeken collection. I have a trio of cards to share with you. I decided to keep these simple yet classy with a touch of gold.

Sending Hugs Card

  1. Create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base. Set aside.
  2. Use Thank You for Your Kindness Etched Dies to die cut through gold foil cardstock.
  3. Carefully pick up the die-cut without popping out the pieces, and place it onto a panel of cream-colored cardstock.
  4. Adhere just the negative die-cut pieces. I lost a couple of tiny pieces right there on the left! Once done, pull the frame/border away gently and save it for the next card.
  5. Cut this panel to size and then adhere it to another mat that shows ¼” from below just to give it a bit of framing.
  6. Place this onto a 3 ½” x 5” panel to see where the sentiment would go and then stamp the sentiment from the I’m Here For You Sentiments Clear Stamp in black ink.
  7. Adhere the gold decorative border with foam tape.
  8. Adhere the panel to the card base.

Miss You Card

  1. Create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base. Set aside.
  2. On a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” navy cardstock, score three vertical lines next to each other with the help of a bone folder and a scoreboard, skip two lines and score three lines again. Make sure to stop halfway. Repeat till the entire panel is covered width-wise. Do this on the back side of the panel. Set aside.
  3. Use the embossing sandwich following the guide on the Spellbinders Platinum 6 Platform and emboss a teal color cardstock with the same border die.
  4. Use gold pigment ink and swipe gently over the embossed area, let it set.
  5. Adhere the gold foil die-cut (leftover from card 1) over the teal embossed panel. Cut off the excess teal cardstock.
  6. Place this decorative border over the navy panel to figure out sentiment placement. Then heat emboss the sentiment from I’m Here For You Sentiments Clear Stamp in gold embossing powder.
  7. Adhere the navy panel onto the card base.
  8. Then adhere the decorative border onto the card front.

Hello You Card

  1. Create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base. Set aside.
  2. On a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” cream-colored cardstock, score horizontal lines on the backside of the panel without any intervals. Adhere this to the card base.
  3. Die-cut the You’re Amazing Etched Dies by placing it on the edge of a 3” x 5 ½” navy cardstock. Make sure to leave a slight border on the right side, as shown in the photo. Set aside.
  4. Die-cut another one of these out of gold foil cardstock and adhere the die-cut behind the navy panel slight offset. Make sure to have a border showing on the right side for an elegant finish.
  5. Adhere this to the card base with foam tape.
  6. Die-cut the word “you” out of gold foil and cream-colored cardstock. Adhere them together with the cream-colored die-cut slightly offset.
  7. Adhere the die-cut to the card front.
  8. Stamp “miss” from the I’m Here For You Sentiments Clear Stamp in black, cut it to size and adhere it with foam tape.

Something is wrong with the instructions. On the hello card it says to use navy card stock but in the picture there isn’t any navy.
