A Trio of Foiled Holiday Tags with Marie Nicole
Hello, Spellbinders friends! Marie here again from Marie Nicole Designs. Please don’t judge me for sharing Christmas projects already, but the Glimmer Greetings collection from Spellbinders is all things Christmas!
Besides, Christmas crafting is all year long- am I right?
To begin creating my tags, I used some arch dies from Spellbinders to cut a few layers of red and white paper. When creating a set of cards or tags, I like to pick a few colors and stick with that palette. When all my projects are created, they look like a matching set.
For this first tag, I used the Plaid Tidings Glimmer Plate to create a red foiled background. I love the plaid design on this plate. You can of course ink blend or color in a variety of colors, but I liked leaving mine red and white.
I then punched a hole at the top of the two arch layers and tied it together with some red and white twine.
Next, I ink blended some different greens onto my cardstock and glimmered the Blooming Tree glimmer plate over it. I then used the coordinating die to cut out the tree, add it to my tag with foam adhesive, and then added the glimmered bow and sentiment from the Blooming Ornament and Merry Glimmer Sentiments sets.
My next tag is again made from layering together some arch layers. I then again used the glimmered bow from the Blooming Ornament set, and also some leaves that are die cut with the Blooming Tree set. I combined these elements to create a cute little wreath on my tag. Then, I added some more of the Merry Glimmer Sentiments and embellished with some gold pearls.
My third tag was a fun one to create. I used the Crossed Lines Cardfront Glimmer plate to press the design into some gold cardstock. I didn’t glimmer this design, I used the plate to emboss the design into the cardstock. This works great with the soft gold cardstock. Using the plates on regular cardstock doesn’t show up quite as much.
Then, I glimmered the Blooming Ornament and colored it in with alcohol markers. I die-cut everything with the coordinating dies, adhered it to my tag base, and embellished with more glimmered sentiments and gold pearls.
Tags are really so much fun to create for Christmas. What other time of year are we giving so many gifts? You can never have enough tags and it’s such a personal way to take your gift wrapping to the next level.
Thanks so much for stopping by today to see what I was able to create with the Glimmer Greetings Collection!
Until next time,
Marie Nicole

Such lovely tags for the holidays, especially when the time is not so busy to make them. Your colors are nicely matched & the colorful string & bright foil tops it off. Thank you for sharing!
