Tinsel Time Christmas Cardmaking with Leica Palma
Hello, crafty friends! It’s Leica here on the Spellbinders Blog and I’m so happy to be back to share some new cards with you. I have made 3 Christmas cards using products from the new Tinsel Time Collection.
Holiday Express Card
My first card features the Holiday Express cutting dies. I cut the dies in a variety of colored cardstock from Spellbinders. I had so much fun putting this train together.
The sentiment is gold heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock. It is from the Dancin’ Holiday Sentiments. For the card panel, I cut down a patterned paper from the Joyful Christmas Paper Pad to 3” x 6”. I then layered it with the Wild Berry cardstock before adhering it to a 3.25” x 6.25” card base.
Dancin’ St. Nick Card
The second card features the Dancin’ St. Nick cutting dies. I used all colored cardstocks from Spellbinders. I love that Santa’s legs swing back and forth. This is optional, but it is more fun to have swinging legs and it is also easy to achieve. Simply cut down a small foam tape to fit inside the circle.
The sentiment is from the Tinsel Time cutting dies. Once again, I used patterned paper from the Joyful Christmas Paper Pad for the background panel. I cut it down to 4” x 5.25” and ran it through the die-cut machine using the Fluted Classics Rectangles. I then cut an A2 panel in Blue Spruce and adhered the 2 panels together. Lastly, I glued the panel on a card base.
Dancin’ Snowman Card
My last card features the Dancin’ Snowman. I once again used colored cardstocks from Spellbinders. The colored cardstocks are 100 lb heavyweight and perfect for paper piecing. Just like the previous card, Dancin’ Snowman has swinging legs and the arms also have the same kinetic feature. However, I only made the legs swing back and forth.
The sentiment is from the Lots of Wishing You Sentiments. I gold heat embossed the stamps on white cardstock. I then cut a panel from the Joyful Christmas Paper Pad and layered it with pink cardstock before adhering it on an A2 size card base.
