Warm Wishes Camper Collection Inspiration with Angela Tombari

Hello, Spellbinders fans! It’s Angela Tombari here and today I would like to share with you what I created with the beautiful new released Warm Wishes Camper collection.

Caravan Camper Life Box

The first thing I made was this little caravan box using Camper Life die set. The camper is so cute and I was impatient to try it. Since this is a Christmas project, I went for a warm color palette, with reds and brown with a touch of white. I cut the base of the camper in kraft cardstock and added all the little details, like the camper stripe and the awning in pink and red.

To add even more details to the beautiful camper miniature, I used the negative of the awning die to create the grid frame of the window and of the window door.

Then, I created a basic square box, and I added it to the back of the camper. In my mind, it was meant to hold a little gift but it will be great to use as a container for little items on the desk or as a placeholder on Christmas Eve.

Matching Camper Life Christmas Card

I paired the camper box with a card in the same style, using a red card-stock panel glued on a pink card base. I created a stuck of cups using the cup die from Camper Life die set. I cut the cups in different shades of red and pink and piled them up, slightly overlaying them one on the other.

On the pink cup placed at the bottom, I die cut the included sentiment Warm Wishes and I replaced the pink letters with red ones, cutting the sentiment a second time from a piece of red card stock. The oval that mimics the liquid inside the cup is cut out from white cardstock and heat embossed with glitter embossing powder and I also added two little pieces of smoke to the lower cup, cutting it out from vellum.

I finished up the card by placing a second sentiment at the bottom of the red panel and voilà!

Dimensional Cake Card

The second card I show you is featuring Sweet & Savory die set and it’s my favorite one because it reminds me of the cake I made once for my younger son Filippo. It’s a birthday card made with the cake slice dies to create a colorful rainbow cake.

The cake is pretty thick, is half inch height and is composed of several cuts of cardstock glued together. In fact, the white layers of the cake are three cuts each, while the colored ones are five cuts each.

To create the rainbow cake, I used the cake topper die only and I used the cake slice die, which is slightly larger, to create an open spot on the front card. The cake is adhered to the inside of the card and it peeks out from the front open when the card is closed.

To add a little happiness to the card, I topped the cake with colorful sprinkles and glitters using the little confetti die included in Sweet & Savory die set. This was a work of patience but I have a little tip for you. If you adhere a strip of double-sided adhesive to the back of the card stock before cutting, you avoid gluing every single sprinkle and you’ll go way faster.

For the sentiments, I used Sweet & Savory Sentiments. I stamped two sentiments on the card. On the front, I stamped the main sentiment Happy Birthday with Versafine ink and heat embossed with silver glitter embossing powder. Inside the card, I placed a second fun sentiment, just below the cake.

Sweet & Savory CAS Card Set

Sweet & Savory Sentiments stamp is a set of entertaining phrases that perfectly matche with Warm Wishes Camper Collection die sets. Here are a few easy and quick card examples for you.

I made three clean and simple cards focusing on one element and the related word joke. The first card is about donuts.

I die cut the donut from Sweet & Savory die set, using craft card-stock for the base and pink card-stock for the topper. Again, I sprinkled the donut with colorful confetti because they are so fun. Then, I created a white panel that I embossed all over with the donut die, giving a delicate background texture to the card.

I heat embossed the main sentiment Thank You for using gold embossing powder and I did it directly onto the card. This way, the card texture is even more visible.

The secondary sentiment, the one with the joke, is stamped on a strip in kraft color, to match it to the color I used for the base of the card.

The second card is again a birthday card with a cake slice. This time the cake is thinner than the previous one, even if I always used a stuck of 5 pieces glued together to create it.

With the cake slice die I dry embossed the front panel and this time, I stamped the secondary sentiment on a piece of vellum.

My last example is with a pretzel, the knot-shaped biscuit that inspired the funny sentiment of the card. Here, I filled the dots of the pretzel with colored drops of Nuvo in pink, white and red.
