Trio of Floral Reflection Collection Cards with Jung AhSang

Hello crafty friends! Itโ€™s Jung here, and I am so happy to be returning for another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. For my projects today, Iโ€™m working with some products from the Floral Reflection collection. I love all the florals in the collection, and especially the heart dies!

For my first card, I started with the Floral Reflection dies, along with the Essential Floral Reflection die.

First, I die-cut all the dies in the Floral Reflection die set on white cardstock for the flower pieces, and craft cardstock for the larger foliage piece. I die-cut everything twice since you need 2 of the floral pieces to cover the shaped Essential die. I used Copic markers to color in the floral die cuts. Next, I glued the flowers to the foliage piece. Then, I used one of the Essential Floral Reflection dies to die-cut the shape from Portobello cardstock. I adhered the die-cut pieces to the shape with small pieces of foam squares, one on top, and one on the bottom, just flipped.

For my background panel, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using one of my Precision A2 layering basics dies, then used the Flower Frenzy 3D embossing folder to create pretty texture.

I made a side folding A2 card base from Portobello cardstock, then adhered the background panel with foam tape. Next, I adhered the shaped Floral Reflection piece on top with more foam tape.ย  For the sentiment, I heat embossed the โ€œhave a nice dayโ€ sentiment with white embossing powder on black cardstock. I used the small, scalloped circle die from the Floral Reflection set to diecut the sentiment. To finish off this card, I adhered the sentiment circle to the center of the card, then added some gold gems.

For my second card, I used the Sealed Wildflower dies as well as one of the heart dies.

Like the first card, I die-cut the dies from the Sealed Wildflower set out of white cardstock and then used Copic markers to color them. I die-cut the foliage from Portobello cardstock. I also die-cut one of the Essential Hearts from white cardstock and used Distress Ink to ink blend a soft lilac background. I assembled the flower pieces, then adhered them to the heart with both glue and foam squares for dimension. Then, I trimmed off the excess flower pieces.

For my background, I die-cut a piece of Portobello cardstock using a Precision A2 layering die, then ran it through my Platinum 6 with the same Floral embossing folder as the first card. I wanted to create a softer look, so I gently ran a blending brush with white pigment ink across the embossed panel. The ink catches on to the raised portions, creating a soft effect.

I adhered the background panel to a white A2 card base with foam tape.ย  Then, I adhered the heart with more foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a sentiment.ย  I hot-foiled the โ€œJust For Youโ€ sentiment from the Glimmer Just For You glimmer plate & die set with satin gold foil on white cardstock. I used one of the dies (from another Spellbinders Glimmer sentiment set) to die-cut a banner strip.ย  I adhered it towards the bottom of the heart.

For my third card, I used the Sealed Bouquet dies, and the solid Glimmer Essential Floral Reflections hot foil plate.

Again, I die-cut the floral pieces from white cardstock and colored them using Copic markers.ย  I die-cut a couple of the foliage pieces from Portobello cardstock. Next, I hot-foiled the solid Floral Reflection piece, and the โ€œwith loveโ€ sentiment on white cardstock with satin gold foil. I arranged the flower stems on the solid piece to look like a bouquet of flowers. I adhered them with glue and foam tape.

For the background, I used Distress ink to add subtle color to a piece of white cardstock. I used the Precision A2 layering dies and the embossing folder for the background panel.

I made another side fold A2 card base using Portobello cardstock, then adhered the background panel with foam tape. I adhered the solid glimmer piece with the flowers on top using more foam tape. To finish the card, I added the banner sentiment and a few gold gems.

I love how these cards turned out! The florals in this collection are so pretty. I hope you got some inspiration from my cards today. Make sure you check out these products on the Spellbinders site. Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
