Flea Market Finds by Cathe Holden with Sheri Holt
Hello! It’s Sheri here again from My Sheri Cards and I am sharing 3 different cards, a bookmark and a treat holder created using papers, die cuts and ephemera from the Cathe Holden Flea Market Finds Collection. Mixing patterned papers is a favorite of mine and these florals and vintage patterns are gorgeous.
Card #1
For this card, I started by laying out some of my favorite papers and then picked the accessories to go with them. The mini envelope die is perfect for stuffing with ephemera or little notes. I even added a few stamped images to a few of the pieces to make them, unique.
Card #2
I am a sucker for polka dot paper and this vintage red pattern was calling my name. Once again, I started with the papers and chose ephemera, stamps and dies to match. You really can’t go wrong when choosing which pieces to place on your card or journal page. And adding touches with the stickers and stamps is an added bonus.
Card #3
Is there a thing as using too much ephemera? I don’t think so but the good news is that you can choose which pieces you wish to use and each card or journal page will be uniquely you. There are just so many great images to choose from that it makes it hard to know when to stop. The Metal Miscellany even make masculine cards easy.
Treat Pocket or Bookmark
A gift of chocolate is a quick and easy way to let someone know you care. This larger pocket die in Mini Envelopes 1 is the perfect size for these small candy bars and a great way to use up some of my scraps. I just can’t let beautiful papers go to waste so I also made a quick bookmark.
