The Flea Market Finds Collection With Brenda Noelke

Hello, crafty friends! Brenda Noelke here from My PaperCut Creations! I’m so excited to be guest posting on the Spellbinders blog again today! I’m sharing three cards using the Flea Market Finds Collection designed by Cathe Holden! This collection consists of two stamp sets, two die sets, two printed die-cut packs, one sticker pad, and two patterned paper pads!! This is a bit of a stretch for me style-wise, but I wanted to challenge myself and I really enjoyed working with this collection!! It was so much fun layering all of the elements together!

THINKING OF YOU CARD

For this card, I layered a couple of the patterned papers from the Florals 2 Palette Paper Pad, after distressing and adding a bit of ink to the edges. I die-cut a couple of decorative edge rectangles from Barely Peach cardstock using the Mini Envelopes 1 and Mini Envelopes 2 Die Sets. I stamped some of the images onto the tags from the Sign Here and Reading Matter stamp sets with brown ink. The sentiment is from the Garden Favorites Sentiments stamp set.

I added a bit of twine to the two tags and some brown ink around the edges of all of the die-cuts from the Coat Check Miscellany Pre-printed Die-Cuts. All of the elements were layered and adhered together, popping up the sentiment tag with foam tape. A single red clay heart adds a touch of red and draws your eye to the sentiment.

HELLO CARD

My second card features a fun, interactive envelope and tag!

I die-cut the small envelope from patterned paper in the Petite Patterns Paper Pad using the Mini Envelopes 1 Etched Die Set. The tag inside was created by die-cutting the rectangle from the same die set from kraft cardstock and adhering one of the die-cuts from the Coat Check Miscellany Die-Cut Set. I stamped some of the images from the Sign Here and Reading Matter stamp sets onto the envelope with brown ink.

I inked all of the edges of the pre-printed die-cuts from the Coat Check Miscellany Set, a sticker from the Stationer’s Boutique Sticker Pad and the background paper from the Florals 2 Palette Paper Pad with brown ink. The small heart was die-cut from the same red polka dot paper using a die in the Mini Envelopes 2 Die Set. I added a bit of trim and seam binding from my stash and layered everything together. The sentiment was die-cut from brushed gold and Barely Peach cardstock using the Wonderful Script Sentiments Etched Die Set.

BIRTHDAY CARD

My final card is a birthday card that combines several components from the collection.

This time, I die-cut the elongated envelope in the Mini Envelopes 1 Die Set from vellum. The tag inside was die-cut from Barely Peach cardstock and some of the images from the Sign Here and Reading Matters stamp sets were stamped with brown, green and blue inks, to match the ephemera I had chosen. The background patterned paper is from the Florals 2 Palette Paper Pad.

As the first two cards, I inked the edges of the Coat Check Miscellany Die-Cuts and Stationer’s Boutique Stickers with brown ink. I feel like this just makes everything cohesive. I tied a bit of twine around the bottom of the envelope and through the tag. The sentiment, from the Garden Favorites Sentiments, was stamped onto one of the die-cuts with dark brown ink. It was popped up over the top of the vellum envelope with foam tape. I added a trio of pearls to the right side and this one was finished.
