Three Vintage Chic Cards featuring Flea Markets Finds Collection by Cathe Holden

Hello crafty friends! Carol Hintermeier is here today. I’m totally thrilled to be a guest here today to share my three cards featuring the awesome Flea Market Finds Collection! As I was creating with all of the various elements included in this collection, I was very happy that I never got rid of my stash of ribbons, lace, and twine!

For this first card, I went all-out vintage! It includes elements from practically every item in the collection.  (All of my cards are A2 size and papers are cut/die cut accordingly.)

The bottom layer of my A2 card features a piece of patterned paper from the Florals 2 Palette paper pad. I topped that with a piece of Beeswax cardstock I embossed with the Dazzling Dots 3D embossing folder.  Then I inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and added gold paint splatters before adhering the piece to the card.

Next, I added a border sticker from the Stationer’s Boutique sticker set.  I used double-sided adhesive to add a strip of lace from my stash.  The floral sticker is also found in the Stationer’s Boutique set and I put it on a piece of white cardstock for more stability.  After I trimmed it with my scissors, I added some foam tape to the back.

The cute little envelope is die cut from a sheet of Petite Patterns paper with the envelope die in the Mini Envelopes 2 die set.  I stamped the branch found in the Reading Matter clear stamp set in brown ink.  After I inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink, I added elements into the envelope from the Coat Check Printed die cuts and Metal Printed die cuts.  I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System and Polished Brass Glimmer  Foil to add the sentiment from the Stitched Alphabet Glimmer Descriptors set.

This next card uses lots of the fun Coat Check Printed die cuts.  I kept the background simple and used die cuts in similar colors for a cohesive look.  I just had to use the postcard die cut that is addressed to “Miss Minnie” as that was my grandmother’s name!

The background layers are die cut from white cardstock and a piece of Petite Patterns paper with the Hemstitch Rectangles dies.  I used the cute little envelope die from the Mini Envelope 1 die set and beige cardstock to create the small envelope.  I stamped the “inspected by” in dark blue ink using a stamp in the Reading Matter set before adhering it to my card.

The sentiment is hot foiled with Silver Holographic Speckle foil and sentiment in the Stitched Alphabet Glimmer Descriptors set.

I love bird watching, and I just had to use the beautiful paper from the Florals 2 Palette paper pad for my third card.  I used one of the rectangles dies in the Hemstitch Rectangles to die cut an offset piece of the paper.  After inking the edges with dark blue ink, I popped it up on the card with a sheet of foam adhesive.

The card is embellished with some border stickers from the Stationer’s Boutique sticker set, a Metal Printed Die cut, a small envelope from the Mini Envelopes 1, and lace and ribbon from my stash.  I stamped the envelope insert with signature stamps from the Sign Here Clear Stamp Set in brown ink.  The insert is die cut with the scallop die from the Mini Envelope 1 set from a piece of the leftover paper with the bird.  The hot foiled sentiment uses more Silver Holographic foil and the Birthday Unboxing Glimmer set (I just cut the “happy” from the Happy Birthday sentiment).

This beautiful Flea Market Finds Collection by Cathe Holden is so much fun to create with.  It makes me wish I did journaling, as I think that would be another great way to use the collection!  I hope I’ve given you inspiration with my projects and hope to see what you create!  To see more of my creations, please check out my Blog or join me over on my Instagram.  I hope you have a wonderful and crafty day!
