Rainbow Wings With Jennifer Rustioni

Hello crafty friends! This is Jennifer Rustioni from @armieritagli! I’m very happy to be here as a guest on the Spellbinders Blog! Today I share with you the cards I realized featuring the new stunning Bibi’s Hummingbirds Collection! I’m totally in love with this collection, these hummingbirds are just amazing, aren’t they??

VIVID HUMMINGBIRDS

For my first project I chose to realize a CAS card on a black card stock featuring the Hummingbird Build a Scene Stamp Set. I stamped the hummingbirds with the Distress Ink Picket Fence on the Canson Extra Heavy Weight Smooth Balck Paper. I colored them with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils in the shades of rainbow.

I realized the highlights and the details with a white gel pen. At last, I chose a sentiment from the Hummingbirds Sentiments Stamp Set and stamped it at the bottom of my card.

COLOR SPLASH

The second project I created is featuring the amazing Hummingbirds Card Creator Dies. This big die is just perfect to create a hummingbird shape card, but it’s also perfect to create a classic square card with a big hummingbird. I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper, die-cut the different parts of the hummingbird and then assembled it on my card.

I colored the hummingbird using the Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Powders. I spread some pigments on my hummingbird and then spruced them with water. I gently watercolored the different parts and then added some shadows with a black pastel pencil to give it more definition. At last, I stamped the sentiment combining two different ones from the Hummingbird Sentiments Stamp Set.

HUMMINGBIRD AND LILY

The last card I created is featuring the amazing Hummingbird and Lily Dies. I die-cut the hummingbird and the lily using the Transotype Perfect Colouring Paper. I assembled them and then colored them with Copic markers. For the hummingbird I chose to use rainbow shades, and for the lily I chose colors in the shades of orange.

I added the highlights and the details with a white gel pen. After that, I glued the hummingbird and the lily on a white cardstock. At last, I stamped the sentiment on the top of my card and matted it with black card stock.

If you would provide which Copic Markers you used for your Happy Birthday to Beautiful You card, looking for the name brand of these markers, that would be helpful. Thank you! Lori H.
