The Country Road Card Ideas With Brenda Noelke
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda Noelke here from My PaperCut Creations! I’m thrilled to be guest posting on the Spellbinders blog again today! I’m sharing three cards using the Country Road Collection designed by Annie Williams!! I’ve always been a huge fan of Annie’s cards and I’m so excited for her first collection!
My cards today have more of a Spring or Summer theme going on, but there is also a seasonal die set that I can’t wait to use!
SENDING BIRTHDAY WISHES CARD
I began by die-cutting the wheelbarrow in Country Wheelbarrow Etched Dies from Silver Fox, Latte, Timber, and Brushed Silver cardstock. I brushed a bit of Distress Oxide Ink onto the wooden die-cuts to bring out the embossed texture. The foliage was cut from Fern and Rainforest cardstock and the flowers from Snowdrift, Chamomile, and Latte using the Garden Builder Etched Dies.
I chose to keep the background simple to allow the die-cuts to take center stage. I simply blended Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock, then die-cut it with the largest die in the A2 Matting Basics A Die Set and adhered to a white card base.
The sentiment, from the Welcome Sign & Sentiments Stamp & Die Set, was stamped onto the bottom of the panel with black ink. All of the die-cuts were adhered to the background with liquid glue.
HOW’S IT GROWING? CARD
My second card was created with the Rustic Garden and Garden Builder Etched Die Sets.
I die-cut the fence, barrel, wagon wheel, water pump and birdhouse from Silver Fox, Latte, Timber, Snowdrift, and Waterfall cardstock using the Rustic Garden Etched Dies. The foliage and flowers were die-cut from Fern, Rainforest, Snowdrift, Chamomile, and Pink Sand cardstock with the Garden Builder Etched Die Set. I added a bit of shading to some of the die-cuts with Distress Oxide Inks.
The ink-blended background was cut out with the largest die in the A2 Matting Basics A Die Set. The sentiment is once again from the Welcome Sign & Sentiments Stamp & Die Set. It was stamped directly onto the background with black ink. All of the die-cuts were arranged and adhered to the background with liquid glue.
WELCOME CARD
My third card would be perfect to welcome a new neighbor to the neighborhood.
For this one, I die-cut the sign from Snowdrift, Silver Fox, Pink Sand, and Brushed Silver cardstock using the Welcome Sign & Sentiments Stamp & Die Set. The sentiment was stamped onto the sign with black ink using the same set. The barrel from the Rustic Garden Etched Dies was cut from Silver Fox and dark gray cardstock. I cut it down and added foliage and flowers from the Garden Builder Etched Die Set, which were cut from the same cardstocks as the previous two cards.
The background was blended with the same Distress Oxide Inks, concentrating the color in the center of the white panel. It was die-cut with the largest A2 Matting Basics A Die and adhered to an A2 panel of Silver Fox cardstock. The die-cuts were arranged and adhered with liquid glue.
